"On
Sept. 27th we went on a day tour to Rosslyn Chapel
and other attractions with Jackie and four other "tourists".
However, we did not feel like tourists at all because
this was like a wonderful day spent with good friends
to see and explore ancient cultures and follow their
trail. This was a spectacular and unforgettable experience." Thordis

I
think I will never forget the magic in the Rosebank
Forest. A piece of its spirit attched itself to me and
will always be here with me. I hope to one day come
back and spent lots of time there..I sure was awestuck
by your tour. I absolutely loved it. Thank-you. Melinda

This original and
select trail culminates
at Rosslyn where you will be better informed to appreciate its design
and siting by having seen the other sites. Jackie's
explanation of the chapel is steeped in her long experience of
guiding and writing about the chapel in terms of its many sacred
aspects. Her books
are popular sellers at the chapel.
Rosslyn Castle
towers over Roslin Glen, the river North Esk winding its way seawards
like a snake uncoiling. We follow a route along Roslin Glen that
is a delight to explore, noting natural and man-made features
that are significant historically and in terms of earth
energies.. (PLEASE WEAR
WALKING SHOES)
En route to Rosslyn Chapel from Edinburgh , we pass by a cemetery
that was linked with the Sinclairs, Earls of Rosslyn. Here in
the last few decades some Templar stones were discovered, the
best two examples being moved to the crypt at
Rosslyn Chapel for safeguarding. This burial site is intersected
with ley lines that can bedetected with dowsing rods.
Opportunities to dowse are provided if interested, even if you are
a complete novice!.
We visit the sites
where the Knights Templar and Cistercian monks were based close
by Roslin, set amidst other sites that indicate that the ancient knowledge
that the St Clairs were privy to can still be traced in the landscape
today, as Jackie's recent colour booklet describes in simple terms.
(more details here) Midlothian as a region is highly
significant within Scotland and influenced its history immensely.
