Two night breaks to unwind in the north Perthshire Highlands
in and around Glen Lyon.
Self-drive or

Based
at the Coshieville
Hotel a few miles from the venerable ancient (Druid)
Yew Tree at Fortingall, at the foot of the glen.
Trips
will be made on both days to places of beauty and spiritual antiquity,
so that the experience is uplifting as well as informative.
Included
is; transportation from Edinburgh
or other local place, daytrips to ancient monuments in the glen
and surrounds, and an accompanying illustrated booklet witten
by your guide Jackie. Jackie's complimentary research
inotes are unique, drawn from a variety of sources. In addition,
for small groups, slide shows on the
"fairy"mountain Schiehallion and Celtic
trees can be shown.
Sites
visited on the trail include stone circles, fairy spots, standing
stones, tree groves and ancient homesteads, all set within stunningly
atmospheric scenery
These
weekends may be of particular interest to those who wish to recharge
in a spiritually uplifting area, and who are interested in learning
of the special and magical history of the glen.
A
visit to a reconstructed "crannog"(Iron Age lake dwelling)
can be arranged in advance.
