"If you did
not have Jackie as a guide to go round with you,,
you would have missed the whole point - you would
have taken lots of pictures of pretty things and that
would be about it
The carvings are a physical manifestation of spiritual
mysteries and also reveal the connection to the earth”

Celtic
Trails, in collaboration with the leading ancestral research service,
Scottish
Roots offer full-day personalised family history tours. This
bespoke service is aimed specifically at those of Scots descent
who are already aware of their ancestors back at least to the
mid 19th century.
For
those who have not had their ancestry researched, Scottish Roots
are offering, to Celtic Trails clients, a basic genealogical search
facility whereby they are sent a pedigree chart with an indication
of addresses and occupations.
We
are offering a combined tour which, at one level, takes you to
your geographic roots (houses, streets, farms, churches and graveyards)
and to relevant libraries, archive centres and industrial/folk/agricultural
museums etc. In addition, every effort will be made to incorporate
the places of interest identified by Celtic Trails. As these are
one-day tours, the distance to be travelled will normally be restricted
to about 100 miles but this could encompass the Lothians, the
Borders, Fife, South Perthshire and Stirling . For ancestors from other areas we can endeavour
to put you in touch with the right people to help you.
FEES
The
basic fee for the Celtic Trail Family History tour is £130 per
day per family group (maximum seven passengers)
The supplement for the genealogical research, if necessary, is
£55
