"
We saw four countries and a lot of tours on our vacation
but your “Ancient Edinburgh and Rosslyn Chapel Tours”
were the best.. Thanks for making Scotland
our favorite place to visit.”

This fascinating
tour highlights legends and early Scottish history of Edinburgh
, and the order of viewing the sites can vary.
As an additional option there are some beautiful gardens one can
visit in the summer months.
In Holyrood Park we view ancient pilgrimage wells and religious
ruins on foot.We make a private visit to a unique pre - Reformation
well house nearby, followed by a choice of destinations on the
outskirts of the city, featuring wells, standing stones, Templar
burial stones, Celtic and Roman sacred sites.
Many of these seem to adhere to geometric patterns drawn out by
significant ley lines in the landscape.
Part of the route passes by Craigmillar
Castle and the old town of Duddingston, and we are officially permitted
to make a circular tour around the beautiful Royal park offering
fine views of the coast. This area is of great geological and archaeological
interest, as we shall see. We visit a legendary well honoured by
the Knights Templar who dedicated it to their patron saint Katherine
of Sinai.
Many local people have commented on how much they have learnt of
their immediate environs on this tour!.
